This young athlete maintains impressive online following

The young golfer will have multiple high-profile supporters as she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently plays against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa practically told me to compete and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

Kai will face several the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially reaching the next generation.

Kai boasts millions of followers and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
