Trevoh Chalobah in action

The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st pair of siblings to play for the England side.

The Chelsea defender is set to link up with the Three Lions selection to replace injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to link up with the team for England's final World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, although it has still not been made public.

The England team have already qualified for the upcoming tournament.

Chalobah received his first call-up under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then played his first game against Senegal.

In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be excluded from the squad for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally omitted him for the following October matches.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea debut in 2021.

Chalobah has appeared in all but four matches for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side in third place in the English top flight, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.

Guehi picked up a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over the Dutch side last week.

There are set to be additional call-ups to the selection. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the England setup.
