Three people have been killed and at least nine others were injured in Ukraine's latest attack on the border territory of Russia of Belgorod, according to its governor.

The deaths happened after an attack on the village of Maslova Pristan in the early hours of Wednesday, authorities reported. Rescue personnel were carrying on seeking for people potentially caught under rubble.

For the third day in a row that Ukrainian forces have attacked the region, causing numerous residents without power and at least two other people killed.

Series of Attacks Cause Damage

Wednesday's series of missile and drone strikes damaged homes, vehicles and electrical infrastructure in various areas of Belgorod, as reported by official statements.

Sources published photographs from Maslova Pristan showing a athletic facility with its structure and exterior destroyed, and stated that rescue workers were removing wreckage and evaluating the destruction.

Within the adjacent community of Moshchenoye, half a dozen persons - comprising a minor - got hurt when missile and drone targeted transportation, while a person got injured when a car was hit in Masychevo.

Energy Disruptions Hit Many

These attacks come after multiple days of identical assaults that have caused blackouts and building harm in urban Belgorod and surrounding areas.

Nearly 40,000 residents were affected by power cuts across various communities, as reported by government sources.

Larger Picture of Warfare

There has been a substantial rise in the number of attacks launched against Russian petroleum plants in the last several months, causing petroleum deficits and price rises in various areas of Russia.

No fewer than twenty-one of Russia's 38 major refineries - in which petroleum is processed into usable fuel like petrol and diesel - have been hit since January, significantly more than as throughout last year.

Ongoing Hostilities

Meanwhile, hostile actions by Russia toward Ukraine are persisting. The country's military aviation reported Wednesday its defences shot down or neutralized 154 unmanned aircraft, but multiple reached destinations in 11 locations.

Remnants of downed aircraft caused fires and destruction of community structures.

No fewer than five individuals were killed late last week when Russia sent over five dozen projectile weapons and around 500 drones into various areas of the country.

Power Systems Facing Danger

The leader of Ukraine mentions Moscow is again targeting Ukrainian electrical facilities before the cold season and has revealed extra monetary resources to repair damaged facilities and establish a stockpile of equipment to restore power supplies.

"Despite all the challenges, we must support the regions now confronting the hardest times," he stated.
