Man That Grabbed Ariana Grande on the occasion of Red Carpet Event Banned from Singapore
An individual of Australian nationality that leaped across a fence and grabbed actress Ariana Grande has been deported and prohibited from Singapore.
The individual, twenty-six, was sentenced to more than a week in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the country's border control told local media.
He forced his way through camera crews and charged at the performer and artist, who was attending the Asian debut for the musical adaptation on the thirteenth of November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.
The individual has a record of causing disturbances at events and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in the past June.
The incident caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people saying he of re-traumatising Grande.
The pop star has spoken of suffering from PTSD after a terrorist bombing at her performance in the UK city in spring of 2017 killed 22 people and hurt numerous attendees.
Throughout the court proceedings, the judge was informed he had attempted to intrude on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to local news sources.
He then made a another effort to cross the barriers. Protection personnel prevented him and held him in place.
Wen later posted videos expressing gratitude to the star for allowing his presence and said he was "free."
Police arrested him the subsequent day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which he confessed.
The Court Judge the magistrate was quoted by a news outlet as stating that Wen was "attention seeking", noting that he was mistaken to believe he would not experience repercussions.
The actress has not addressed the case.
The co-star discussed the situation to a media outlet, remarking that she "only aimed to verify my friend was protected."
"I believe he didn't intend us injury, but you never know with these incidents, and I sought to ensure that she was fine. That was my initial reaction," she commented.
