The offspring of previous South African Leader Jacob G Zuma has denied all charges to terrorism-related allegations at the commencement of her court case in the harbor city of the city of Durban.

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, 43, is being charged over statements she published on online platforms four years ago during deadly unrest in South Africa that came after the apprehension of her dad.

A period of anarchy in multiple regions of the country in mid-2021, including theft and arson, left at least 300 individuals killed and led to damage worth an projected $2.8bn (2.2 billion pounds).

She has been alleged of fuelling this turmoil and is charged with accusations of encouragement to commit terrorism and public violence.

The unrest were focused in the areas of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal province and were triggered by the ex-leader's detention for defying a judicial ruling to appear as a witness at an investigation into accusations of corruption while he was holding office.

Ms Zuma-Sambudla has repeatedly refuted the allegations against her, with her lawyer previously describing the state's case as unsubstantiated.

She has also frequently stated the accusations against her were an bid to resolve political grievances with her parent after he established his own political organization and ran against the ANC.

This was supported by the Jacob Zuma foundation, which said the proceedings was an "power abuse" and a "systematic campaign" of "political and familial persecution" against the former president and his kin.
